Our Process Step One: Planning Project management plays an integral role in the success of the website. Good planning makes the rest of the design process that much easier. As the client, you can help use in this phase by: Have a clear project manager identified within your company. This person should be responsible for all approvals and project direction comments. In many companies we deal with this is several people. What we need is a person who can speak as an authorized agent of the firm having spoken to his/her associates/bosses to be sure everything is in order. Doing some 'Homework' helps. Jump on the web for sites you like and don't like and come to the first meeting with some thoughts and URLs. Speak with colleagues and customers and informally survey what they would like to see on the site, or better yet let us to create an interactive survey for you! Designing your website without input and ideas from your team and customers is not a good idea. Register any domain names required and initiate any transfer of domains etc. Email accounts can be setup at this point as well. Be prepared for a few meetings. We will work with you in a revisionary fashion to be sure the site meets your needs for both form and function. Step Two: Implementation Good planning is key to the success of the implementation phase. Durng this phase, we detail the specifics like design ideas, project and programming flow. Its also the time when we storyboard and script any video or flash work that you might be interested in. We discuss and finalize Concept & Development items such as the look of the site and the content should flow. Address marketing concerns such as search engine placement goals and advertising issues. Finalize C&D and begin to make a functional sample of the site. Test site for any browser issues or other pesky web issues Work on production of any animated elements Implement content and/or initialize any content management system (CMS) client has requested. Build out the site to client spec and enter testing phase. Step Three: Final Preparations The site is taking form. We work to iron out any browser glitches or similar issues that may arise during the development cycle. Test site some more to reflect client needs Finalize C&D and begin to make a functional sample of the site. Get site approved by client and launched. Thats a quick outline of the steps involved in making a site with us! Its not as scary as it sounds. =) We will work with you to be sure the finish product is everything you hoped for, and more!
